Born and raised on the Mississippi, I came to California to act and write for the small screen! I loved episodic storytelling, and I've always had bits of stories ricocheting around my head, so I chased them out to LA in 2015.
I spent some time on screen, on stage, and on set, and decided to lean toward writing because I can't be bothered to look like an actor. I partnered with a producer, and we spent a couple years developing projects for VR production. Those were exciting years! But thankfully, I learned something quickly:
As it turns out, I don't actually like to write! I don't like the core process of writing. It's too solitary. But I started running more TTRPG games, and found over time...
... It fulfills everything I ever wanted by coming out here. Everything. I traded The Industry for The Space, and I'm very happy here! I get to perform a little, write a little, and spend lots of time telling stories with people. You'll find lots of GMs who want to step aside and just play - not I! I understand the sensation, but I don't feel it myself. There's just nothing that makes me feel happier than creating an experience for a table full of people.
Wishing I were GMing something - I'm obsessive.
Crafting something to create a more impressive table experience.
Building something sturdy out of wood.
Cooking something vaguely Mediterranean.
Tying something pretty in rope.
